Cake Tinz n’ Thingz School of Cake Decorating Class Schedule Term 1, 2012

Class details and enrolment day for Term 1, 2012 are listed below. Please note, no enrolments prior to the enrolment day.

All classes are a 12-month course running over four terms.  Classes for Term 1, 2012 will commence the week beginning Monday 6 February.  Each class is two hours per week.  Classes for this 7 week term cost $150 (cash only - sorry, no EFT, credit card or cheque payments), plus the cost of equipment.  Please note there will be no classes the week of Monday 5 March in Term 1 due to the public holiday.

Our enrolment day for term 1, 2012 was held on Saturday 14 January. All beginner night classes sold out very quickly.  Details on the days and times for classes at all levels (beginners, intermediate and advanced) that still have availability is below.  Information on terms and conditions is in the registration form here.

It is essential that all students have their own equipment.  Students without their own equipment will not be able to participate.  Beginner’s equipment for term 1 will be available as a complete kit costing approximately $130-150 (unless the student already has some of the equipment).  The equipment in the kits will form the basis for equipment used in later classes, although some additional purchase will be required term-by-term.  Kits will be available at the enrolment day or may be purchased at a later date prior to the classes commencing. Classes for other terms in 2012

Classes for all other terms throughout the year will be advertised on this site on a term-by-term basis and enrolments will only be taken at that time.  Priority enrolment will be given to existing students which means there may be little or no availability for additional students in the classes depending on the level of re-enrolment each term.  Term 2 classes will cost $150 (7 week term beginning week of Monday 30 April), Term 3 will cost $170 (8 week term beginning week of Monday 30 July) and Term 4 will be $130 (6 week term beginning week of Monday 22 October).

Why we don’t waitlist people…
Unfortunately we no longer waitlist people for classes or workshops.  We have had too many problems over the years with people asking to be waitlisted and then failing to respond, which wastes our time and usually ends up affecting people who are genuinely interested. 

In Term 1, 2012, we are holding the following classes:

Beginners classes are offered on the following days and times:

• Monday 10am – 12noon Sorry, this class is full

This class is for those who have completed at least 6-12 months of cake decorating classes previously.  Term one consists of a variety of sugar flowers with more refined techniques.  All flowers produced are used to make creative arrangements. Intermediate classes are offered on the following days and times:

• Tuesday 9.30am - 11.30am Hurry! Limited spaces still available
• Tuesday 7pm - 9pm Sorry, this class is full   
  

For those who have completed at least 12-18 month of cake decorating classes.  Students will learn a range of formal, highly refined advanced techniques in sugar art. Advanced classes are offered on the following days and times:

• Wednesday 10am – 12noon Hurry! Limited spaces still available
• Thursday 7pm – 9pm Hurry! Limited spaces still available
